Ciara Martin
Marketing Coordinator, Assurity Consulting
26th October 2026
At Assurity Consulting, our consultant role provides a broad learning experience in a broad commercial environment, that helps develop account management, sales and technical skills. Following a full training programme, our consultants are mentored to deliver and sell workplace compliance solutions, developing and maintaining working relationships with our contacts.
One of the things that our consultants love the most about their role is the flexibility and ownership that comes with it. They get to manage their own diaries, organise their site visits, and plan their working weeks.
For anyone thinking about becoming a consultant, it is a role that stays interesting because no two days are the same. There is also a great deal of flexibility in planning your own diary, along with opportunities to train in other services and gain new qualifications, all with plenty of support and advice available.

While our consultants often spend time working remotely or on customer sites, they are always supported. From day one, new starters benefit from structured training, regular development reviews, mentoring and ongoing support from experienced colleagues. Collaboration is a huge part of our workplace culture, and our teams are always willing to share knowledge, answer questions and help each other overcome challenges.
Assurity Consulting has a friendly and supportive culture where people look out for one another. Senior management are highly approachable, which makes it easy to ask questions, share ideas. There’s a strong sense that everyone is willing to help the moment you need it, often going the extra mile to provide support, so you never feel like you’re on your own.

Life at Assurity Consulting is about more than just work. We place a strong emphasis on wellbeing, community involvement and creating opportunities for all our employees to spend time together outside of work. Throughout the year, we come together through social events, team activities, charity initiatives and company-wide celebrations. Every employee also receives a paid volunteering day each year (Make a Difference Day), allowing them to support causes that matter to them, and make a positive impact within the local community.
Consultants also benefit from a competitive package designed to support both professional and personal wellbeing. This includes a fully expensed company car, private healthcare, generous pension contributions, profit share, sales commission opportunities once qualified, and up to 36 days of annual leave (including bank holidays).
When I first joined the company as a young graduate, I held a driving licence but had never owned a car. The company car given to consultants was a life saver for me financially; a brand-new car, fuel card with petrol paid for, and my car insurance taken care of. All of these are things that I would have struggled to afford on my own, so it is a great benefit of the role.
