That number keeps growing. ATG Entertainment invests for the long-term future of their venues, improving seating, washrooms, heating, air conditioning, bars and lounges and accessibility of their spaces to everyone. For the productions and shows they also make sure their venues are equipped with the latest in lighting, sound and other production technologies, together with regularly refreshing dressing rooms and green rooms.
In 2023, we were requested by Helen Wilkinson, Compliance and Sustainability Manager to perform a high-level gap analysis review of the environmental procedures and systems in place at ATG Entertainment and develop a detailed action plan to gain certification to ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
Throughout 2023, we worked alongside Helen and the Risk Team to develop a comprehensive Environmental Management System. We created specific procedures and guidance to address their environmental aspects and impacts of the 36 venues and offices across the UK. We then developed an environmental awareness training module for all ATG Entertainment employees, and a facilities specific module for the venue teams.
To test compliance, we worked across their venues performing Environmental Compliance Reviews and supporting Helen with the certification process from Stage 1 through to successful certification. ATG Entertainment achieved ISO 14001 and are demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability and continuous improvement in managing our environmental impact. They now have a robust framework in place to identify, manage, and reduce their environmental footprint while aligning with legal and regulatory requirements.
