A Hampshire based YMCA activity centre in has been fined £30,000 and ordered to pay £200,000 in legal costs after an 11-year-old girl was left hanging by her neck from a rope bridge.

Budget chain Poundstretcher has paid a high price for 24 health and safety breaches across three of its stores. The retailer – owned by brothers Aziz and Rashid Tayub – was fined £1m for its dangerous and ‘chaotic’ working conditions and ordered to pay court costs of over £65,000.
