Construction company fined £750,000 after asbestos failings
Barroerock Construction Limited has been fined following repeated asbestos failings, after the HSE carried out two investigations of working practices of a site in 2013 and 2014. Barroerock were converting a former nine storey office building in Ashford, Kent into flats – the building was known to contain asbestos.

The Supermarket chain Co-op has been fined £400,000 after the death of a member of public who slipped on water leaking from a faulty sandwich chiller.
