Keith has been with Assurity Consulting since 1996. During his time, he has had various roles relating to the delivery and development of the services that the company offers, including health and safety, asbestos, air and water management compliance. To serve as an introduction, Keith will be hosting and giving a brief overview on health and safety responsibilities from the eyes and mind of a newly appointed Managing Director.

Katherine is a regulatory specialist in health and safety, fire and building safety and contentious environmental matters. Katherine has extensive experience in the built environment, acting for key players and household names. Katherine will outline the key corporate and individual health and safety responsibilities in the built environment, covering:
  • Key legal duties and consequences of getting it wrong;
  • Health and safety and building safety considerations on development projects;
  • Managing safety in investment portfolios; and
  • A look ahead to legal developments in coming years, including Martyn’s law and the Government’s response to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry report.

Thomas leads on the health and safety management of 1,248 assets, construction projects and green spaces. Previously to Grosvenor, Thomas worked as a risk consultant providing health and safety advice and services to UK businesses. Thomas will outline the use of AI in safety management in the built evironment, covering:
  • Better technology, better insight, better business decisions;
  • Identifying patterns;
  • Avoiding confirmation bias; and
  • AI Applications for safety.
10:50 - Emma Baxter, Consultancy Services Manager, Assurity Consulting
Emma has been at Assurity Consulting for 10 years, having trained in Workplace Environmental Assessments initially before carrying out the NEBOSH General Certificate and becoming one our specialists in health and safety management. Emma will explore the importance of health and safety auditing to provide reassurance, and how it can play the role of both protector and promoter in your health and safety management.
