BAFE SP205 – Assurity Consulting, successful renewal!

We are delighted to announce that Assurity Consulting has achieved certification with the BAFE SP205 Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment Scheme for another year. This is a third-party accredited scheme via the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) covering Life Safety Fire Risk Assessments. The Fire Sector Federation lists the BAFE SP205 Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment Scheme as a method of sourcing a competent third-party certificated fire risk assessment provider.

We were audited back in December 2024 which included site visits with our fire risk assessors, and a two-day audit of our policies, procedures and processes. The outcome of the audit highlighted zero non-conformances, and the only opportunity for improvement related to an updated version of their logo for us to use.

We would also like to extend a big thank you to our customers who accommodated us, and the Auditor, as part of this process. This excellent news means that by choosing Assurity Consulting, you can be confident that you are using a third-party certificated company with independently assessed evidence of competency to help meet your fire safety obligations.

The Auditor stated the following in their report:

The firm is delivering well documented and controlled fire risk assessments using the quality management requirements of BAFE SP205. The firm is well placed to control and monitor the systems of control going forward. The Auditor considered the existing control measures in place and knowledge and experience of the firm’s Fire Risk Assessors and Validators. The Auditor was satisfied that a revisit was NOT required, and an Annual Surveillance Audit will be booked in 2025.
