Wellbeing Day

On Monday 30th September we were lucky enough to enjoy a day of activities aimed at our ‘wellbeing’.

Mental health causes over 70 million working days to be lost each year making it one of the biggest issues in the workplace today. This includes conditions such as stress and anxiety, right through to conditions, such as depression, bipolar disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder.

As well as having a huge impact on our employees, mental health could have a severe impact on our organisation, as it could lead to an increase in employee turnover, sickness absence due to debilitating depression, burnout and exhaustion, decreased motivation and lost productivity. In 2015/2016 our Directors recognised the importance of being able to support our employees with mental health.

With this in mind, Clara and Naomi, from On Site Massage Company, spent the day with us delivering sessions of Massage, Meditation and Desk Yoga which were available for all of us to enjoy.

Each employee was able to sign up to as many sessions as they wished all aimed at improving their 'wellbeing.'

The sessions were all really well received and we hope everybody felt the benefit.
