Springboard Make a Difference Day

On Friday 12th July, a team of seven Assurity Consulting employees held their annual volunteer day at Springboard in Horsham.

Ian W, Adam, Alex, Tom, Jo, Kirsty and Charlotte split down into two teams, one gardening team and one painting team.

For the day we were tasked with clearing and tidying the garden and refreshing the paint work in the downstairs toilet and the kitchen.

With the Lego Movie 2 pretty fresh from cinema screens, Adam, Assurity’s
in-house artist, put together a design that would brighten up the toilet and help add a little fun to it.

In the kitchen, we were sad to see our Minions creation from 2015 go but it was decided by Springboard a simpler design would be more fitting with their planned kitchen refurb. We decided on the Springboard logo which kept it simple but still added a little bit of colour to the room.

Whilst Adam, Alex and Jo were busy transforming the inside, the rest of the team were working their magic on the garden.

Despite the heat, by the end of the day the garden and play areas had been weeded and swept. The flower beds had been cleared and the slightly out-of-shape maze had been returned to its tidy self.

The team had a brilliant day at Springboard and Julia, along with all the other Springboard team members, were incredibly grateful for our efforts.

Springboard is a Horsham based community charity that provides inclusive play and leisure opportunities for families with young children and fun short breaks for children and teenagers with disabilities. Springboard is one of Assurity Consulting’s charity partners and we have been supporting them for the last 15 years.

After another brilliant day at Springboard, we look forward to returning next year!
