Elementus ‘Secret Seven’ help the Springboard Project

Seven employees, from Elementus, took a day out to help the local Horsham charity, the Springboard Project. The task this year was to renovate the herb garden with an educational theme.

Adam Curtis, Marketing Coordinator at Elementus said “We painted a mural based on the children’s film ‘Gnomeo and Juliet’, a modern day take on the Shakespeare play ‘Romeo and Juliet’ to fit in with the herb garden. The added educational element was the names of herbs and their phonetic pronunciation. We also tidied up their herb garden and re-sealed their Wendy House”.

The Springboard Project, in Horsham, is a haven for inclusive play and is a recreation centre for young people with special needs or disabilities and to families with young children; they provide safe areas for games and interaction.

Nigel Scott-Dickeson, Project Manager at The Springboard Project commented, “Elementus have been supporting us for many years through group volunteering projects and fundraising. The work was carried out with their usual enthusiasm, eye for detail and quality of workmanship.  Elementus is one of our most important partners, helping us to care for the hundreds of children and families we support in our Centre at Springboard House and we greatly value such a vital relationship”
